so progressive insurance is giving free shaves to their customers today at the new york city bike show today. and it is looking great. he's looking good isn’t he? all cleaned up. oh wow manicures as well. look at that. very stylish. you hear this? what's that? shoe shine. shoe shine? only if you're a customer right? nope for everybody. for everybody?
complementary. wow, my shoes look pretty good right now, so... oh they could look better. well let's just see about that. you've got to sign up here on this ipad, okay....and i’ll take care of you. alright. you’re friend here is going first and then your turn. you gonna get your shoes shined kelly?
i am. wow. alright so we're here with my good buddy dell, and he actually designed these motorcycles, these beautiful bikes that you see right here. and you can see all of the great detail that are in these motorcycles. from the paintwork to all of the intricate parts that are on these bikes. and i think they look fantastic. i think he's definitely a candidate to win the competition this year. look at the exhaust on this thing. absolutely phenomenal.
this is the type of bike that i would ride. and you guys know that i don't ride choppers. but this is one that i would actually ride. so dell yes sir? how the hell long have you been designing motorcycles? well i started designing a 10 speed, my polo bike when i was like 5 years old. so it just carried over to motorcycles.
wow. so, all of my life pretty much. and you designed all 3 of these bikes here's another example of his work. we have the obama bike. this bike was made in dedication to our 44th president of the united states barack obama. and it is going to be displayed in the obama presidential library in chicago illinois. and it was custom built by my good buddy dell. and a link to his web page is in the description
but there is a lot of detail on this motorcycle. absolutely stunning motorcycle. from the clear rims it is just absolutely beautiful. so much dedication so much hard work went in to this motorcycle to pay tribute and there's a mural of mr. obama and michelle obama, and the obama logo. absolutely gorgeous motorcycle and a custom seat.
we're at the new york city bike show with my good buddy nate kern and two of my good subscribers here. how are you guys doing? good. good. doing very good. nate, what can you tell us about the 2015 s1000 as it relates to power and how to get more power out of it? our in-house hp power kit that was developed directly from world superstock so the way we left world superstock we now sell that to the customers. so it's not just about power it's about ride-ability. yeah.
on a 15' with a power kit, just the flash for the ecu, and our exhaust is equal to a stage 2 motor from 2014. that is extremely impressive. that is impressive. and it's a beautiful bike too, i love the color scheme. [laughing] i like it though. it's smackdown approved! exactly. hey don't say smackdown around nate, only on the track.
i don't wanna get the smackdown, that's why i ride one of these. that's classic. nate doesn't want to get smackdown'd that's why he rides one of these! exactly. i love it! he doesn't give you a hit, he gives you a lap. yeah you're right. well you know it's funny there's folks absolutely man.
…there’s folks that come up how ya doing man? here, take one of my new cards. awesome. nice to meet you man. i watch your show all of the time man. hey nice to meet you. what's your youtube name? i don't have one.
get an account man and leave a comment so i can reply to you and everything man, so we can talk. cool. it'll be awesome. what do you ride? i just sold my r1. i had an r1, i just sold it. i'm looking to get one of these. oh man you'll love it. the clutchless downshifting, cruise control, heated grips. you'll absolutely love it. can we sit on these? yeah you can. another one of our youtube subscribers hanging out here at the new york city bike show
sold his r1 and he's looking at getting this s1000 but you can see how comfortable it is. even for bigger guys like us and the heated grips two stages, high and low. it's got cruise control and you can get it with carbon fiber. the akrapovic exhaust. this is the 2016? 2016.
this is the new color for 16, red on metallic black. hey man take one of my cards. it's a youtube channel. check out my youtube channel man. what do you think so far? very comfortable. real simple to just consolidate a lot of time our new third generation 2015 double r, the best three new features number one
clutchless down shifts with rev matching. yep. it's simple. it minimizes the multi tasking. you don't realize when you're trailing blipping the throttle and clutching all at once how narrow your peripheral is, how narrow your focus is. the benefit of that: it's minimizing wasted movement. it's allowing you to minimize the multi tasking so you can focus on the road. but also take your favorite road or track and add 3 to 4 foot of asphalt to both sides.
that's how wide open your focus is. wow when you can just come in trail get your braking done your cornering and that's it. move your foot twice wow, no clutch... at all the second best feature to me and personally, is user mode; you now have a fifth mode that allows you to a la carte the menu, everything you like from rain, sport, race and slick, you can make your own mode but you make that own mode due to environment, due to elements, due to skill set,
me personally or lack thereof. well when i ride these on the street-- i've ridden with you, you're a little bit of a beast a little bit of a beast, i just gotta tame your ass that's all. so here's the deal, all i've got to say is, the user mode, i like to set mine up for the street for ddc, for the dynamic dampening control, for the suspension. i use rain actually so it doesn't beat up my spine. it's as plush and soft as the k bike.
it's really nice because you guys have some pretty shit roads where you live? we do, we do. i set the ddc to rain mode. i set the dtc, the traction control, to sport and here's why: it tames me. i don't want to get stupid on the street. it won't let you wheelie, no positive wheel slip, alright? because i need it for self control.
i set the abs at race. because i don't want it to be a little-- i don't want it too intrusive because i like to brake a little hard. but i set the engine, and this is where people need to understand this especially if you're coming from a first or second generation double r if you do not set your user mode up for engine mapping under race and not slick you won't have maximum engine braking. all your are rrs and all your hp4s you've ridden before when you roll off you expect that big crank to decelerate and slow you down. in slick mode on a 15 rr until you change it in user mode you have reduced engine braking.
you'll/it'll actually free wheel, that means you have to brake harder to slow down. when you're not used to it. so that's a very important fact that not a lot of people understand. then the last thing i'll say is the new cylinder head revision. it comes on at 5000 rpm now the power no more boooahhhhh.... at 8500 it comes on at 5, and we didn't disguise that with the gearing.
it's the same gearing. 44 tooth rear sprocket? it's a 45 tooth rear, 44 was the first gen; gotcha! you've got to evolve ib, yeah we're in 15' now i'm working on it... ... alright?
i gotta give him a hard time, i don't see him much. but i will tell you as much as you've evolved online in social media wise, right, you're riding has gotten better too. thank you. when i first rode with you... i was like 'yeah,' i felt the same way. i was like, 'this dude is gonna have multiple agricultural experiences.' yeah, right!
he created that term. and i used it in one of my videos, but this man created the term, agricultural experience.. so we just had a brief moment to talk with nate kern. he's gonna stand over here and demonstrate the capabilities and the features of the s1000 to other folks. but we're here at the new york city bike show, there's a lot of interest the s1000 and other bikes here as well. and nate kern is doing a fantastic job on relaying the message from bmw and explaining to everyone just how cool and just how the features of the s1000 can really work for you. so stay tuned. we're in the suzuki booth at the new york city bike show and sadly
suzuki decided not to bring the soon to be released new gixxer 1000 to the bike show. they do have a banner. with a picture of it but that doesn't quite do it justice. so this is the outgoing model they brought here and hopefully we'll be able to see the new model sometime in june or something like that. watch the header. glowing through the damn smoke! wow you are annihilating that tire!
you actually stunt on that bike, jason? not like that, i mean i’ve done... what's the extent of stunting that you do on this thing? nothing like here, i'll show you wheelies or anything? i'd love to see a wheelie, i've never seen anybody wheelie the damn bike ahh, too many pictures we've got jason britton here, he's looking for a picture or video of his h2 stunting. he just showed me a video of it burning rubber ok i got some pics
this is from an icon photo shoot so some of them are not that's awesome. i love that icon gear. here. here's. here it is. here we go. a little little wheelie. another little wheelie. yeah a big wheelie. that's about 11 o'clock, that other one.
nah, that's, i can get it pretty slow... what's up bro? how you doing? good how are you? a little burnout. ok that gear is awesome though, matches it perfectly. yeah it matches the bike really good. my son mustangdame would love to see that gear and stuff he's a big fan.
this is for you mustangdame my son. that's your son huh? yeah that's my son. he’s back in ohio. awesome man. how’s everything jason, good? good. [inaudible] huh?
no bad can't complain. that's good. well nice talking to you jason i really appreciate you taking the time to talk to me about this. i've got some amazing videos coming when i get the new bike. what are gonna, you gonna do some wheelies and stuff on it? no, hell no! come on. i tell you what, if you teach me how to do it, i'll do it! well that's not the bike to teach you how to wheelie on.
you've got a another bike, we could get some practice time on. yeah, we've got a hp4 you can show me on. well that's... i mean it's a bmw, so it's not the same. you know the difference from riding a bike that's... it's got a supercharger on it exactly versus just a bike that's naturally aspirated. it's a big difference. big ass difference. huge difference. i'd love to come out to california and hang out with you sometime.
i'm actually planning a trip out there sometime in march or april. let me know, hit me up. you can... my wife can ship your bike. yeah because you don't want to be without a bike. i was gonna ship it, do you know the approximate price to ship it? 600 or 800 bucks. round or one way? it depends if you put it in a crate or something then that's one thing, i put mine in a crate and put pitbull stands and don't use any tie straps. but yeah, yeah we can go out; we got a shift sector not far from me, like, 2 hours away.
so that 1/2 mile would we ride out there or trailer em out? i'd trailer them out i like riding though. yeah but you trailer em out yeah but that's one thing but, when we spend the day out there doing top speed runs you don't drive/ride 3 hours back. i mean your not just going-- you're doing 25 passes. up over 200 miles an hour.
so you don't, you know what i mean? it drains you. absolutely. you get the bike accelerating that hard, your nerves are on end you're hanging onto everything. and then you're shutting it down. and then... over and over again. doing it over and over and over, and then get on the bike and try to ride like a
normal human being going 70, 80 miles per hour the road. right. you're gonna get, you know what i mean? you're gonna be going 170 and get--you know— helicopter and get pulled over and get your bike impounded and go to jail. don't wanna do that. don't want to go to jail in california. no way. they're rough down there... they are. they're bad out there. but yeah i mean, i know you have a hp4, and all that, i have a zx10 that eats them for lunch.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! do i hear a challenge coming? me and jason britton! if you want to bring it out. if you wanna bring it out. uh-oh! its stock too! almost. wait a minute, you're telling me you have a stock zx10 it's nearly stock. and you think you're going put the smackdown on my hp4?
i have not gone in to the motor. sounds like a great smackdown challenge. but i've done it plenty of times with guys lighter than you, 160 pound guys. so you're like what 2...??? 235. 235 you... i mean... it's the rider not the bike well no, i mean the bike only makes 200 to the wheel though so just
i'm not in to the motor yet. so what we have here ladies and gentlemen is a smackdown challenge from the world renowned jason britton. and i intend to accept that challenge. so stay tuned for that. wow that's awesome. bring that bmw to california and get some nice sea level altitude come out and we'll have a good time. boys, just the boys, were having fun. just the boys and my son mustangdame.
we’ll be out there together that's awesome. thank you jason. i'm going to show you about that kawi power. i appreciate it man. alright, we have, hi christie! how are you? good we have christy here with indian motorcycles and do you guys have a display inside the show today? we do actually. where actually giving away a free scout. so i'm signing every one up. nice. awesome. well i'm gonna try to sign up so i can win that scout.
are you enjoying the show so far? i am it's amazing. so many beautiful bikes. is this your second day or your first day here? this is my first actually. nice. are you here tomorrow as well? i am not unfortunately. oh so it's just a one day gig?
yes... you're depriving all of my subscribers... next year, next year. ... of your beauty and personality on the second day. that's awesome. i'm sorry. that's fine we definitely appreciate it. well we're gonna go ahead and register we just wanted to take a time to say hello to you. awesome since we happen to catch you while my son here was trying to get some popping corn

i am. wow. alright so we're here with my good buddy dell, and he actually designed these motorcycles, these beautiful bikes that you see right here. and you can see all of the great detail that are in these motorcycles. from the paintwork to all of the intricate parts that are on these bikes. and i think they look fantastic. i think he's definitely a candidate to win the competition this year. look at the exhaust on this thing. absolutely phenomenal.
